NVQ Framework
Each NVQ is made up of a number of units which set out the standards that must be reached. A unit is like a mini qualification. Candidates can choose which units they take and are awarded certificates showing the unit that they have achieved.
Each NVQ covers an area of work and a level that locates it in the NVQ framework. The NVQ framework makes the system of qualifications easier to understand, It shows how qualifications and units relate to each other and how candidates can progress through the system.
