About Solent Training ltd

Solent Training Limited opened its doors in 1999 in support of the Driver Hire offices at Southampton and Portsmouth. Carrying out City & Guilds Training for that year for in house and for customer's driver's with the Driver Hire conceived Commercial Driver Training Scheme and the Carriage of Dangerous Goods By Road (ADR).

In subsequent years we have been very proactive in the online tutoring of students using distance learning to gain a Certificate of Professional Competence in Road Haulage (CPC), whilst continuing to provide ADR courses.

Solent Training Ltd, in conjunction with our partners at Driver Hire in Southampton and Portsmouth, have built up extremely good relationships with our customers. We have always been of the opinion that training is paramount to a successful business.

We have gained the accreditation for explosives and are now able to offer ADR Class 1 (Explosives), which can be an add on to an existing ADR License or can be completed as a standalone course.

We have maintained our very high pass rate due in part to the excellence of our Instructors and to the students themselves whose desire to learn or refresh their knowledge, is enhanced in the pleasant environment of our training suite. This is borne out with comments made by previous students who have observed us using our feedback process which allows us to ensure we take on board those suggestions that will improve the learning experience for future students.

Also having a service background has helped many students who have left the Forces, as we fully understand the problems they face in 'Civvy Street'.
